Francesco is a bus driver and gambler who owes a frightening amount of
money to ferocious debt collector, The Bear. Leila makes a living robbing the
men who she picks up in the nightclubs of Bologna. When Leila inadvertently
gets embroiled in a corruption scandal and comes into possession of a
significant document and a suitcase full of money, she becomes prey for a
number of interested parties: secret service operatives, police officers and
'enforcers' all join the chase. Francesco helps Leila out and the pair of them
team up to try and outwit everybody else. It's a hair-raising adventure with
myriad reversals of fortune, some very savage behaviour and lots of hilarious
moments. A rich Italian farce with all the expected ingredients but a quality to
the writing and characterisation that delights.
