Looking for Mr Nobody by

If you're looking for something a little different, try this. Rann gives us a modern
European thriller with more than a dash of science fiction. Though these days science
fiction has an unsettling habit of turning into actual fact.
Robin Carlson, a 30-year-old penniless artist turned nightclub bouncer working in a
slightly futuristic Amsterdam, is having boyfriend trouble. But when her boyfriend
goes missing she does her best to help. Vagrant pavement artist Wolf is suffering
from amnesia after being treated for gunshot wounds. Suddenly Wolf is more popular
than he wants to be with the police and sinister men in black on his trail. An illicit
world of designer drugs lies behind events and as Robin and Wolf meet and join
forces, things get very nasty, up-front and personal.
Rann's snappy debut shows skill and promise: not only are Robin and Wolf characters
to relish but the writing is good quality, detailed and confident and the creation of
suspense and excitement are finely handled.
