Peter Lime is a member of the paparazzi, a Danish photographer living in Madrid and
trained to hunt down his prey and catch them on film. For twenty years he's made a
living out of stalking the rich and famous and selling images, the more revealing the
better, to the highest bidder. Finding love late in life, Lime is now settled with a
Spanish wife and little daughter and is considering changing his job for something his
family can be proud of. A routine assignment, snapping a Spanish minister out sailing
with his mistress, turns Lime's world upside down. He is arrested and then his home
is destroyed by fire. Among his archive of photographs lies the key to his
persecution. Pitted against a shadowy world of international terrorism Lime's new
quest is to survive long enough to uncover the past that his enemies will go to any
lengths to suppress.
An intelligent and dramatic political European thriller from Danish writer Davidsen,
very dark, engrossing and richly observed. A memorable read.
