An action-packed eco-thriller from Carver with her series heroine India Kane on

in a collision with a tanker several crew members are killed, among them India's good
friend, Ned. The tanker is unregistered and India vows to trace it. But she also has to
return to Australia to tell Ned's wife about the accident. The couple have been living
in Jambouko Bay, a desolate place where an Aboriginal curse appears to have tainted
the land and the population are dwindling.
Carver has made her mark with exciting, pacy thrillers and a gritty and determined
protagonist. Black Tide won't disappoint - the thrills and spills come thick and fast,
we are rooting for India all the way and the raw and vivid Australian setting is an
added pleasure.
