What's it like? As she sashayed smokily into my office, one thing was for sure - she was a Web site to die for. She handed me her card. "Crime And Mystery Fiction Journal" was the monicker, but that alone wouldn't make me take the case. Frames, Java and GIF animations might turn a rookie's head but this joe needed brains as well as beauty. Of course, she had it all. News, reviews and even a regular column by British Crime Writers' Association Award Winner Val McDermid, her credentials were solid. And when she mentioned her on-line bookshop and forum? "Mr Goldsmith? I want you to kill someone for me..." It was a trap sure, but walking into one never felt this good...
Upside: Regularly updated UK mystery TV listings
Downside: An opinion on the novels it describes so well would be handy.

Old Lady Dies are two of the horrific titles reviewed at Tangled Web UK
(../index.htm), an on-line British Crime and Mystery Fiction
Journal. It has been established for just over a year and has attained cult status among
murder aficionados. It has also recently been converted to frames, Java and animated GIFs.
There are new titles from HarperCollins, Viking, Gollancz, Orion, Hodder & Stoughton,
The Women’s Press and many others, a regular column by Val McDermid (British Crime
Writer’s Association Gold Dagger Award winner for Best Crime Novel of the Year 1995),
and reviews by other well known authors such as Andrew Taylor, John Baker and Pauline
Bell. There’s also the Crime Fiction awards, monthly digests of new releases, weekly
