Kiss Yourself Goodbye
`My law practice is like sex. I only do it for a few friends.' So saying, Matt Sinclair, gay scion of an ancient New Orleans family, sets out to clear his cousin Sylvia of murder and to track down the real culprit.
The victim, Rodger Lloyd, was found in his hotel room with a knife between his shoulder blades and everything seems to point to Sylvia the man's finger is even pointing at a book of Audubon prints, open at a picture of a Garden Warbler, Sylvia Borin.
Lloyd, it transpires, had damaging information on all three candidates in the forthcoming mayoral elections, a convincing motive for murder. As Matt starts investigating in the strange world of New Orleans politics, those around him become the objects of the murderer's attention, and Matt himself is in the gravest danger.
