Trotter's Bottom
An exuberant novel of legal mischief and murder.
Much as she loves her husband Malachi and her ever expanding family, Ophelia O. cannot help but look forward to her return from maternity leave and a comparatively quiet existence behind the ancient doors of Parrish Snodsworth Ranger, Solicitors and Commissioners for Oaths.
But before she has even fished the rusty key from her pocket, she finds herself accosted by an elderly Russian, Alexander Illyich Zhukovsky - grandmaster of chess and recent widower, whose wife, he insists, has been murdered in her bed.
So, whilst juggling her alternative identities as Oliver to her misogynist senior partner, as mother to six exuberant children and as potential saviour to the doomed nuns of Saint Wilgefortis, Ophelia is now thrust into the centre of a complex murder investigation…
This gripping tale of murder, corruption and the theft of very pink pigs is a hilarious follow-up to Tanya Jones' previous books, Ophelia 0. and the Mortgage Bandits and Ophelia 0. and the Antenatal Mysteries, and is guaranteed to make you laugh out loud.

About The Author
Tanya Jones was born in Lancashire in 1965 and grew up in Stafford. She read English at King's College, Cambridge, where she was received into the Catholic Church and met her husband Martin. After a brief period working in London, in charity fundraising and PR, they moved to Ampleforth and she took an MA in Medieval Studies at York University. She then went on to study law and served her articles in Cleveland, qualifying as a solicitor in 1993. She now divides her time between writing and working with her husband in their companies Cathedral Software and Wireless Networks. They have three sons, Gawain, born in 1987, the 1996 British under-ten chess champion, Rory, born in 1993, over whose head most of the Mortgage Bandits was typed, and Aidan, born in 1997, just in time to help with the proofs of Trotter's Bottom. One and a half Labradors (the other half is believed to be a whippet) complete the family, now living in Gilling, just across the valley from Ampleforth Abbey.
