Judge Dredd: The Cursed Earth (2000 AD Collector's Edition 3)
Classic Stories... Classic Editions
From the archives of the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic comes a showcase series of classic stories, represented in a new Collectors’ Library format. These deluxe editions feature the very best of seminal sci-fi comic 2000 AD, the stories that shaped legends and founded a (galactic) empire.
There’s a plague in Mega-City Two, and only Judge Dredd can deliver the cure! But first, he’s got to Cross the Cursed Earth - the radiation-ravaged wasteland that lies between the cities... and although the land is barren, it’s far from abandoned!
From 2000 AD founding editor Pat Mills and Judge Dredd creator John Wagner, with artist supremos Mike McMahon (Sláine) and Brian Bolland (Batman: The Killing Joke), come timeless tales of rough justice. A must for any bookshelf!
John Wagner is responsible not only for co-creating Judge Dredd (with artist Carlos Ezquerra) but also for such timeless tales as Judge Death, The Apocalypse War and The Judge Child Quest. He is also the writer of such classic 2000 AD strips as Strontium Dog and Robo-Hunter. His work also includes Batman, Boba Fett, The Last American and Button Man.
Mike McMahon is renowned for creating the ‘big boots and crumpled clothes’ look that has characterised Judge Dredd for the last 25 years, as well as for his stints on A.B.C. Warriors and Ro-Busters. He has also been involved in countless projects since, including Batman and The Last American, returning to 2000 AD recently for an all-new A. B. C. Warriors tale.
Brian Bolland is the artist whose sharply-defined lines and bold inking gave Dredd a page presence second to none. Though now primarily known as a cover artist on titles such as Batman: Gotham Knights and The Flash, his interior comics work has included the acclaimed Batman: The Killing Joke and Camelot 3000.
