The Dungeonmaster's Apprentice
Matt and his partner the Supreme Ogress Sasha, a 5'2" dominatrix have fled New York leaving a trail of bodies behind them. Back in London ripping off the fetish scene, their daily routine is abruptly shattered by a sinister death threat from the Dungeonmaster's Apprentice. To make matters worse, the threat comes delivered in a highly undesirable package containing the skull of a dead cat, Matt and Sasha's names written backwards in what can only be blood, and a picture of them torn to shreds.
An unfortunate fatality at a fetish event and Sasha's desire to infiltrate a neo-Nazi sect do not set them back on the road to safety and they are sucked into the unpredictable realm of the occult…
A dark and devilishly funny follow-up to Mark Ramsden's debut, the highly acclaimed The Dark Magus and the Sacred Whore.

'Lashings of black magic, kinky sex and bad jokes in this agreeably distasteful little book' Sunday Times
'A baroque, uproarious parody of every genre you could think of… you'll laugh along until your piercings ache' Time Out
'A weirdly entertaining romp involving bodies in freezers, foot fetish videos, the roadie from hell… It's exactly the sort of book for which maverick publishing houses like Serpent's Tail were designed' Forum
'A neo-noir tale of perversion and madness involving dominatrixes, pimps and sacred whores' Desire

The Dark Magus and the Sacred Whore
Matt used to be a musician. No money in it. Now he's running a nice little internet seam, and working as a personal consultant (i.e. pimp) for his girlfriend, Sasha. Sasha's a dominatrix. And a certified New Age Goddess, the Sacred Whore, an all the way flake case. Right now she's torturing Rob Powers in the dungeon. Yeah, that Rob Powers, the rock'n'roll legend. Matt doesn't care. All that worries Matt right now is the dead drug dealer on the floor.
The Dark Magus and The Sacred Whore is a black comedy set in the outer fringes of the New Age, a neo-noir tale of perversion and madness, and a wildly off-beat love story. And for once it's true, it's really like nothing you've ever read before.
Mark Ramsden has played saxophone in a wide variety of professional contexts; chiefly jazz-related, although also with countless show-business luminaries, including Tom Robinson (hit single 'War Baby'). He has also been a rather spectacular psychic and astrologer and the editor of the cutting-edge sex magazine Fetish Times. His serious music occasionally surfaces on Radio 3 and his pierced and weighted genitalia appear far too often in magazines and on television. A sober alcoholic with a taste for hallucinogenics, he lives in London with his partner, their son and a discarnate entity called Lola.
