Invasion
It's not long from now but the world is very different.
When the Chinese dragon woke from her thousand-year sleep to bend Southeast Asia ruthlessly to her will, it was only the culmination of every half-decent intelligence analyst's prediction. Thus the complacent Western powers turned a blind eye to this rampant expansionism, and defence spending continued to dwindle all over the free world. Only when the Middle East was swiftly conquered by the resurgent Chinese forces, Israel brutally put down and Tel Aviv razed by nuclear power, did America and her allies realise the true dangers of their isolationist stance. But it was too late… A combined European fleet was swiftly cornered and annihilated by the massed Chinese super-carriers in the straits of Gibraltar, leaving a besieged Europe.
Now a dazed United States of America sits and waits for the next move…

Society of the Mind
In SOCIETY OF THE MIND Harry brilliantly interweaves cutting-edge science - virtual reality, robotics and artificial intelligence with human psychology in an eloquent and harrowing thriller of compelling readability. It is the story of Dr Laura Aldridge, a young psychology professor who is offered a seven figure sum for a week of unspecified consultation by enigmatic inventor and computer genius Joseph Gray. Unknown to all but Gray's immediate staff, his prized creation and alter ego - a massive, artificially intelligent neurocomputer - lies buried deep underground. Its 'mind' has grown troubled and its wide-ranging errors are causing grave concern. When Laura meets Gray on his South Pacific island, she is shocked - but intrigued - when she learns exactly what her job entails: to psychoanalyse and 'cure' Gray's disturbed mainframe before its all-too-human malfunctions lead to global catastrophe. But what Gray has built not only thinks but feels as well. A conscious, brilliant, neurotic and lonely mind, the neurocomputer sharer its strange world with Laura when she immerses herself in Gray's virtual-reality workstations. The closer to it she grows, the more trouble it has keeping from her its inventor's potentially devastating secrets. Totally riveting, with nerve-stretching psychological suspense to keep readers gripped until the last page and the most memorable supercomputer since 2001's HAL, SOCIETY OF THE MIND is the psycho-cyberthriller of the decade: it will shock, terrify - and captivate.

Protect and Defend
The world is brought to the brink of apocalypse in this epic story of international terrorism, civil war and anarchy.
During a US presidential campaign, anarchists force the Russian government into exile and menace the world's capitals with terrorism. NATO is drawn into the Siberian power vacuum under UN auspices and over Asian protests. China begins a general mobilization and, on the eve of the US election, makes its first aggressive move. The crises - and an assassin's bullets - create chaos for the US and, during the confusion, the Chinese invade Siberia and try to drive out the western forces. As hard-pressed NATO troops dig into the frozen Siberian soil, the world stands poised on the brink of apocalypse.
