Murder in the Collective
Murder in the Collective"Well I'm against it. I mean, I'm a guy, right? I mean, no offence, Elena, but what's to prevent these women taking over and getting rid of me and Ray?"
Two print collectives, one left-wing and one radical lesbian, plan to merge. But hidden tensions explode when one of the collective members is found - murdered.
Pam is determined to uncover the truth, however disturbing. No one is free of suspicion. The Filipino resistance movement, the CIA, a drunken feminist on a binge, a fugitive in the attic, arms running, blackmail and a pair of unusual contact lenses are all involved before the mystery can be solved. And in the hunt for the killer, everyone is forced to reassess their politics and their love life.
`A paragon whodunnit' The Times

"There are few mystery novels that invite repeated immersion; their complex pleasures go beyond the simple satisfaction of solving a puzzle. The Pam Nilsen series falls into this category" The Women's Review of Books
"Sisters of the Road is compulsive reading, and its heroine, Pam, is a believable and entertaining blend of strengths and fears" Booklist
